Leeds United has paid attention to AC Milan's 23-year-old midfielder Yunus Musah. Daniel Farke wants to have Musah in his squad to increase his midfield options in the new Premier League season. The club planned to keep a close eye on the player during the World Cup, but international commitments disrupted those plans. Leeds is not alone in this transfer; West Ham United is also following Musah's situation and wanted to add the American national player to its squad last summer.

San Siro officials are open to negotiations regarding Musah. Musah, who spent last season on loan at Atalanta, returned to Milan and his future in Italy looks quite uncertain. The Italian club prefers a permanent sale rather than a temporary loan. A price tag of around 18-20 million Euros has been set for Musah. Transfermarkt has determined its value as 14 million Euros, which is largely due to the fluctuation of recent performances. Moving quickly is an important requirement for both English clubs.

Last season, Musah's performance fell below expectations. The player, who played in only 20 matches in Serie A, could only score one goal during this time. Musah, who frequently sat on the bench, played a total of 813 minutes on the field and was in the starting 11 in only six matches. This is not a very encouraging situation for a 23-year-old player who needs to play constantly. Musah is still trying to find his best position.

There is no problem with talent. He has great energy, can press opponents intelligently and speeds into open spaces with the ball at his feet. Musah, who grew up in Arsenal infrastructure, started his professional career in Valencia at the age of 17. Milan paid 20 million euros for him in 2023. The talent is there but the consistency is completely lacking.

Farke used a double pivot last year to protect the team's backfield and give freedom to his creative players. He wants to adopt a style of play based on possession of the ball. Musah is a hardworking player but his passing range is limited. He cannot offer the creative spark or progressive passing that Farke needs for a top-flight midfielder.
